Mobile carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile and various 3rd party caller ID screening services are increasingly blocking or flagging calls that they feel fit typical robocalling campaign characteristics, such as high-volume, short-duration calls originating from a single number.
The most common reasons that numbers get flagged as Scam Likely are:
Inconsistent volume of calls from the same number
Cold starting numbers, where you go from zero calls to over 100 an hour
Short-duration calls, which are typically under five seconds
Triple calling
Ignored calls sent straight to voicemail
Conversation lengths below a 15-second minimum threshold
Call recipients manually flagging your number as spam
Sometimes legitimate business calls outbound from our customers can appear as spam or scam calls when reaching various mobile carriers. Some of these carriers have websites that offer to register or whitelist numbers that have been mistakenly flagged as spam/scam calls. By registering the Fuze /8X8 number/DID on these websites, it may take up to 30 days before the number is no longer flagged as a spam/scam call. This is best-effort, and not guaranteed to resolve the issue. But is a great start. Any other questions please reach out to the Telco Administrator.
